As You See It Challenge #088

I'm trying to get a start on my Father's Day cards. This is my first one and I had fun playing with a new set by PTI called Superhero. The layout for the card came from the As You See It Challenge.

I stamped the shield and then layered the star over it with a dimensional. All the papers are from the PTI Comic Strip Patterned Paper collection.

I stamped the dots background from the Superhero set in Harvest Gold behind the caped man to ground the bottom section together.

Hope you like my Super Dad card. Thanks for stopping by!

Stamps: Superhero (PTI)
Paper: Real Red (SU), White, Comic Strip Patterned Paper (PTI)
Ink: Enchanted Evening, Harvest Gold, Pure Poppy (PTI); Versafine Onyx Black
Other: Tiny Attacher, Fishtail Flag Stax die (MFT), dimensional

Today I made a card for the the Colour Me Challenge which is to use monochromatic colors of Crisp Cantaloupe.

I stamped an array of butterflies in Crisp Cantaloupe, Calypso Coral and Sweet Blush.  I added a layer of vellum over the top and embossed the sentiment in silver.

I had a really difficult time getting the vellum attached because it was warped. I need to work on that.  I thought I might need special vellum tape but my XL Runner Tape worked well and doesn't show through.

Thanks for stopping by!

Stamps: Beautiful Butterflies, Greaceful Greetings (pti)
Paper: Crisp Cantaloupe, Whisper White (SU), vellum
Ink: Crisp Cantaloupe, Calypso Coral (SU), Sweet Blush  (pti)
Other: Versamark, Silver embossing powder

Edited 5/13:  My card was chosen as a Colour Connoisseur Honorable Mention. Wahoo!
