The Jumbo Curiosity Round Ornament die by The Greetery and the Scattered Christmas embossing folder by Spellbinders. I based my card on this one by <a href="https://soapboxcreations.blogspot.com/2022/10/the-greetery-song-of-christmas-release_0255236828.html" target="_blank">Laurie Willison</a>.</p><p>It's hard to see in the photo but I cut the branch with Close to Cocoa and shaded it with Early Expresso. The pine needles are cut from Soft Succulent and shaded with Handsome Hunter.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSPQkhRaL4DmK3Ia2bqfvWrV3NIctOx3mFtxXMaohYGt3HC0sJJlZstphOrFMGRjVzWFRuOoukAFBQ524mpb7gbvrY9CYcs_PwFOku_nlf91YJeaFdYUG4YK_0ixNiJCry_5Nr_2mwZQrIAUrMRcU1xXJzVys_-iJQ8hIDWbJsnQbfZGZTQwwz3fxu/s2191/Jumbo%20Curiosity%20Ornament%202.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2191" data-original-width="2136" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSPQkhRaL4DmK3Ia2bqfvWrV3NIctOx3mFtxXMaohYGt3HC0sJJlZstphOrFMGRjVzWFRuOoukAFBQ524mpb7gbvrY9CYcs_PwFOku_nlf91YJeaFdYUG4YK_0ixNiJCry_5Nr_2mwZQrIAUrMRcU1xXJzVys_-iJQ8hIDWbJsnQbfZGZTQwwz3fxu/w624-h640/Jumbo%20Curiosity%20Ornament%202.jpg" width="624" /></a></div><br /><p>I used the Opposites Attract Holiday Hot Foil plate by The Greetery for the sentiment. I love them. So when I saw this funky die set it went right on my wishlist. When it came back in stock I immediately ordered it. This card is for a couple at church celebrating their anniversary next week.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2JuPtVyfIhQwMGTzZU_H4Fwx_d7wCqjauEUkJG9qgtCLJLgeWDrNlbeucFdyWCymKOYpwrhUc0oN0Nnp3NcdzZx1hmrWKvYjdXrizvu0g2DPI4KpseLpaMw3elsVAT9dl6KpTULmFQSdkF0OjRVff6qDpSNTyr8pgo7SnlxpbtqOKel0zxJ0p5Nzx/s1084/pic%201.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1084" data-original-width="906" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2JuPtVyfIhQwMGTzZU_H4Fwx_d7wCqjauEUkJG9qgtCLJLgeWDrNlbeucFdyWCymKOYpwrhUc0oN0Nnp3NcdzZx1hmrWKvYjdXrizvu0g2DPI4KpseLpaMw3elsVAT9dl6KpTULmFQSdkF0OjRVff6qDpSNTyr8pgo7SnlxpbtqOKel0zxJ0p5Nzx/w534-h640/pic%201.png" width="534" /></a></div><div><br /></div>The cake has 5 layers to choose from and I went with 3 of them. I ink blended each layer with distress oxide. From top to bottom I used: Spun Sugar, Kitsch Flamingo & Picked Raspberry. To add some bling I cut the frosting out of a Pop-Up Die Cutting Glitter Foam Sheet in white by Spellbinders. The sentiment is hot foiled.<div><br /></div><div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8oKIG40Uud0h_axoE3oXPmW9dgUXsGin3Q23c_2rfECJl53Q4G-vvDOHJ8WJaqNaCAtS_QJOwF9Qjwv3cIqwLW0cDR-12UsCKo43GoJiFHCj3EltC3vLO6c0CjnE99vWtw6VipggoCw_0iq2MZblE-zVljuyg5HTFU4HOvrcdRXf0rgHWCB1bT8fQ/s1542/pic%202.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1542" data-original-width="906" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8oKIG40Uud0h_axoE3oXPmW9dgUXsGin3Q23c_2rfECJl53Q4G-vvDOHJ8WJaqNaCAtS_QJOwF9Qjwv3cIqwLW0cDR-12UsCKo43GoJiFHCj3EltC3vLO6c0CjnE99vWtw6VipggoCw_0iq2MZblE-zVljuyg5HTFU4HOvrcdRXf0rgHWCB1bT8fQ/w376-h640/pic%202.png" width="376" /></a></div><p style="text-align: left;"><br /></p><p style="text-align: left;"><b>Supplies used:</b></p><p style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 14px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px;"><i><b>Paper: </b>Melon Mambo (SU), gold foil</i></p><p style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 14px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px;"><i><b>Ink:</b> DOX (Picked Raspberry, Kitsch Flamingo, Spun Sugar)</i></p><p style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 14px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px;"><i><b>Die: </b>Crimped Frames (The Greetery)</i></p><p style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 14px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px;"><i><b>Other: </b>Big Dots embossing folder-ret (SU), Pop-Up Die Cutting Glitter Foam Sheets-white (Spellbinders) </i></p><p style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 14px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px;"><i><b>Hot Foil Plate:</b> More Sentiments (Spellbinders)</i></p><p style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 14px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px;"><i><b>Hot foil: </b>Shiny gold (Spellbinders)</i></p><p style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 14px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px;"><br /></p><p style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 14px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px;"><br /></p></div>Debbiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04283687735665400537noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4971755041804785365.post-3981989155617686832021-12-11T16:29:00.000-08:002021-12-11T16:29:39.453-08:00Red Truck Christmas<p> I love this little truck. It's one of those things when you see it you know you "need" it. It's called Holiday Haul by Spellbinders. It has lots of tiny bits that are kinda fiddly but I love how this card turned out. It's late afternoon and raining outside so sorry that the photo is a bit darker than the actual card.</p><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEg8WP2w4KoWJyeuZVaTCdBtOWbNUdyZkhmHbab610WPpQsf2Y9Pu5qsxhmjl8M2GK7Zie-izhj_aYWevFXx2Riy4M6IidW5fBPJgQ0VmG_oAYjCqs6ROTYkR7c5iFdqDpnhs8hHx73g6xAg7AZjW0KGcbxu54RnQQ7n2E98eL-kjMbYpEZaxPQpe15J=s2739" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2199" data-original-width="2739" height="514" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEg8WP2w4KoWJyeuZVaTCdBtOWbNUdyZkhmHbab610WPpQsf2Y9Pu5qsxhmjl8M2GK7Zie-izhj_aYWevFXx2Riy4M6IidW5fBPJgQ0VmG_oAYjCqs6ROTYkR7c5iFdqDpnhs8hHx73g6xAg7AZjW0KGcbxu54RnQQ7n2E98eL-kjMbYpEZaxPQpe15J=w640-h514" width="640" /></a></div><div><br /></div>Everything is straight forward. I added a 4 x 5-1/4" piece of Handsome Hunter which I embossed with Tasteful Textile embossing folder. I also embossed the smaller of the 2 pieces of dsp which is directly behind the tree. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiAZW2lyadoeC3mJE5L3HTh53_TBGVOmqd9dql69hJWo2g_mmB0N85Bi6ZbyNGC68jfyXEZZvlfsw7kdLQydufAB2nWYGWoVeibHeci5Kn1fvw3zV5Q-sIfdl3vHiIKdhgDs96RIIn5Ogg/s2048/IMG_3093+%25281%2529.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1766" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiAZW2lyadoeC3mJE5L3HTh53_TBGVOmqd9dql69hJWo2g_mmB0N85Bi6ZbyNGC68jfyXEZZvlfsw7kdLQydufAB2nWYGWoVeibHeci5Kn1fvw3zV5Q-sIfdl3vHiIKdhgDs96RIIn5Ogg/w552-h640/IMG_3093+%25281%2529.jpeg" width="552" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">The hardest part was the sentiment. I didn't want to cover up the tree too much and I didn't have a die that I felt worked so I took a stitched rectangle die the correct width and cut out a piece of white cardstock. Then I flipped the piece 180 degrees and carefully matched up the sides and cut it again to a size that fit the sentiment vertically. It took me 4 tries before I liked the result :-). I also added Wink of Stella to the snow on the branches but I guess I did that after taking the picture. It sparkles it up.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwcAPB_NdGnIDwCItqlw0f93RLLs2XtVLj7BAkWErlEPj3YF_X7vWrEyXplGBl8VfpqHV-YSMA1c1w3nbGno3O3AJ5ISuUwGUdNSSgW99hX7FwEOQ9uIw9NIqBP8JeLoebAIVxu-Qsyaw/s2048/IMG_3093.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1799" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwcAPB_NdGnIDwCItqlw0f93RLLs2XtVLj7BAkWErlEPj3YF_X7vWrEyXplGBl8VfpqHV-YSMA1c1w3nbGno3O3AJ5ISuUwGUdNSSgW99hX7FwEOQ9uIw9NIqBP8JeLoebAIVxu-Qsyaw/w351-h400/IMG_3093.jpeg" width="351" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Thanks for stopping by!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">SUPPLIES:</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><p style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-size: 13px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px;"><b>Stamps</b>: Christmas to Remember (SU)</p>

She called it Mystery Stamping. We were given the basic supplies & paper dimensions that we needed but she did not tell us the final sketch/layout of the card. It was fun to see what everyone came up in the end. Here is my card.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhXfdRelNC6TBg1__GkjPH31FgsjslqjOn5WF1lv8HMjHIXyXIl5fzknJxovRoFhd-SAVGxPm81VWaAs3oKEBRnBrq7E_0zzKjdMXSkZf8aZqdq4cDCd7RP_5PVqkPRWpyHvbNARpasbPM/s2048/IMG_3084.HEIC" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1773" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhXfdRelNC6TBg1__GkjPH31FgsjslqjOn5WF1lv8HMjHIXyXIl5fzknJxovRoFhd-SAVGxPm81VWaAs3oKEBRnBrq7E_0zzKjdMXSkZf8aZqdq4cDCd7RP_5PVqkPRWpyHvbNARpasbPM/w554-h640/IMG_3084.HEIC" width="554" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">It's a pretty straight forward card. I have seen so many cute cards out there and so decided to case <a href="https://creativeleeyours.com/here-for-you-now-stampers-showcase-blog-hop/">this one </a>for my first card. Making it easy on myself :-)</p><p>The new SU In Colors this year are really pretty but I have so many ink pads from past years that I went looking to see if I had anything close to the Pale Papaya used on this card. I bought the cardstock so that I could match and I came up with Apricot Appeal. I think it is very close in color so I am going with it. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjuc2aE15SnPWJiAvKoxTF9IxoeOPbRRii12_P-XaXS0amFS2qGWAwJOT2Wq3E-WWUIvuLvvUpdEV8q11DivfQPf2U-dMK8aHD6h_NK6ZnVgBa4FgOOIYmNEs_5EvZdt14cBK089aqIL0k/s2048/IMG_1826.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1719" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjuc2aE15SnPWJiAvKoxTF9IxoeOPbRRii12_P-XaXS0amFS2qGWAwJOT2Wq3E-WWUIvuLvvUpdEV8q11DivfQPf2U-dMK8aHD6h_NK6ZnVgBa4FgOOIYmNEs_5EvZdt14cBK089aqIL0k/w538-h640/IMG_1826.jpeg" width="538" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">For the background scallop piece I used the largest Scalloped Contours die and a piece of the new Pale Papaya Shimmer Vellum. Those are always hard for me. I looked through my stamps and found a really old set called Classic Convertibles. Seemed like a good choice for a guy card.</p><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiX3pnKYexeFAmWO2Aa6W-InzgvnvhRHdI1VEvWrRNN8oIFJspys2b00dKlufLwAeRQ4EsN40ycEF72dxQEHeJTOtVJ0wDYXpwOgqw4gBtpk2SK1kDZ4UFUPajOmDEMdRGcEkdgYdfV1jg/s2048/IMG_1815.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1756" data-original-width="2048" height="548" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiX3pnKYexeFAmWO2Aa6W-InzgvnvhRHdI1VEvWrRNN8oIFJspys2b00dKlufLwAeRQ4EsN40ycEF72dxQEHeJTOtVJ0wDYXpwOgqw4gBtpk2SK1kDZ4UFUPajOmDEMdRGcEkdgYdfV1jg/w640-h548/IMG_1815.jpeg" width="640" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><span style="text-align: left;">The only tricky thing about this card was the piercing. I cut a piece of Very Vanilla to 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" and then used the largest </span><span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; text-align: left;">Nesting Basics: Pierced Rectangles die by PTI. Next I stamped the car close to the left edge. I carefully placed the die back into the piercing holes but moved it so that the right side had the same width as the left side and put it through my Big Shot only far enough to pierce the right edge where I wanted it. Then I pulled it back out and cut off the right side just past the new pierced edge. I love all the Hand-Penned Petals cards that I have been seeing and I had to get in on the action. There are many firsts on this card, for me at least. </p><p>I started by embossing a 4x5-1/4" piece of Sahara Sand with the Dainty Diamonds embossing folder.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiCr5silakxlzTctkuwT0tqhzW2lZG1Bm79e4tli2Jh3WNLjcdVEzedPBbjngZUmCHDhIkyEvuTHxQaqxlskuuAuW3MSv6T6lqSXI3z_BVo0RPHfMaqyduztf7C-QElxg8x2DuYs-kAY4c/s2048/IMG_1768.HEIC" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1751" data-original-width="2048" height="549" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiCr5silakxlzTctkuwT0tqhzW2lZG1Bm79e4tli2Jh3WNLjcdVEzedPBbjngZUmCHDhIkyEvuTHxQaqxlskuuAuW3MSv6T6lqSXI3z_BVo0RPHfMaqyduztf7C-QElxg8x2DuYs-kAY4c/w640-h549/IMG_1768.HEIC" width="640" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Then I dic cut the the 2 parts of the flower in white. I cut a piece of Apricot Appeal card stock with the Penned Flowers die and layered it under the flowers.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhBuoqQZ-JEWbiJZFsHZKW_BtM0f6u34DjOLI9Q9hbwfZG68aTXxmNJ51eqxQ6xv4ZHPcOQEhO_Pot6tpTcaza1r6DnoLgtuKVimzgno0b-KAre58peSTNdG4MJIOCUxKYDHYvebGiuuQ/s2048/IMG_1770.HEIC" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1612" data-original-width="2048" height="504" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhBuoqQZ-JEWbiJZFsHZKW_BtM0f6u34DjOLI9Q9hbwfZG68aTXxmNJ51eqxQ6xv4ZHPcOQEhO_Pot6tpTcaza1r6DnoLgtuKVimzgno0b-KAre58peSTNdG4MJIOCUxKYDHYvebGiuuQ/w640-h504/IMG_1770.HEIC" width="640" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Next I stamped and then die cut a sentiment from The Greetery with Versamark, embossed it with some Walnut Stain Distress embossing Glaze from Tim Holtz and attached with a tiny staple.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfRA8FqgVtXnDe7IpYnxTVhpXLKrs4SojrOmRYZsLZJNeOImH60X2TLmr4ZFZ9PSOhnwyUg51cCICJtqKE1ScD4mU0uTZnKH_oR89imcx3WqnYa9oeKIxw1C25tJl4TXhUrEbw3e7YRhw/s2048/IMG_1772.HEIC" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfRA8FqgVtXnDe7IpYnxTVhpXLKrs4SojrOmRYZsLZJNeOImH60X2TLmr4ZFZ9PSOhnwyUg51cCICJtqKE1ScD4mU0uTZnKH_oR89imcx3WqnYa9oeKIxw1C25tJl4TXhUrEbw3e7YRhw/w480-h640/IMG_1772.HEIC" width="480" /></a></div><br /><p>This set is so pretty and I look forward to making more cards with it. It is a very cute, but tiny, stamp of a her Mason jar set and a bouquet of flowers. My daughter hasn't received her order yet so I got to work and made a quick card to show her.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">It is a 2 piece set so the jar was easy to stamp. The flowers were a bit more challenging. I tried a couple different things but ended up stamping the bouquet in Soft Stone and then using the fine tip end of markers to go over it and color in the parts of the bouquet. It is a bit messy because I did it fast but I do like the results.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDeR33gYHaLHiQk_4fyDHmgpg8IaFMCvS6OInhhaOrAb0pT2QGIMqz6aGmJFKvyS2YmIxNF7ZlgYEKEXavwZm6ozj9f47jku5FJLDifNH0iHfCBfXaoXHsXk3PxPra__cV5W0O8htg3m0/s2048/IMG_1749.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1784" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDeR33gYHaLHiQk_4fyDHmgpg8IaFMCvS6OInhhaOrAb0pT2QGIMqz6aGmJFKvyS2YmIxNF7ZlgYEKEXavwZm6ozj9f47jku5FJLDifNH0iHfCBfXaoXHsXk3PxPra__cV5W0O8htg3m0/w558-h640/IMG_1749.jpeg" width="558" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">After doing the flowers I flicked some Early Espresso around the bouquet, added some clear Nuvo drops and tied some twine around in a bow.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8eYVVKWbx2fcerYuMWwmTzI1X-m1j64tcye7bfbNDL3EQtckOVYGraPZCd_7-RVRk1dEKuYywB45K3turjo0PG_0h84voBBAd5EOIxGRFNZ9urQbFia1Pwu7K8fI6GWobWVZ_DJMYdls/s2048/IMG_1752.HEIC" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1575" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8eYVVKWbx2fcerYuMWwmTzI1X-m1j64tcye7bfbNDL3EQtckOVYGraPZCd_7-RVRk1dEKuYywB45K3turjo0PG_0h84voBBAd5EOIxGRFNZ9urQbFia1Pwu7K8fI6GWobWVZ_DJMYdls/w308-h400/IMG_1752.HEIC" width="308" /></a></div><br /><p>I think that next time I might try die cutting some mini flowers to add to the jar. I combined it with <span style="font-family: inherit;">Stacked Decorative Edges</span> dies from Spellbinders to create this card.</p><p>I masked off the die cut area and stamped the flowers. The images are a very loose style and you can't really go wrong no matter how you stamp them. I think that next time I will stamp & die cut the flowers and then overlay them over the decorative border but I like this version for my first card with this set. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjYFkpknobvfyTtRVGK1HFv5yyWkqnECwo-qLehbPN3vgOKghJoNX0ERbBbnUSACPkSD3XvPPaXC5bU6numks57_2eyntR2-0UqEvVOeexwcZ6dkND4Qe8lAwgCLF9JxVwgxDkcwxbW_Zo/s2048/IMG_1804.HEIC" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1732" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjYFkpknobvfyTtRVGK1HFv5yyWkqnECwo-qLehbPN3vgOKghJoNX0ERbBbnUSACPkSD3XvPPaXC5bU6numks57_2eyntR2-0UqEvVOeexwcZ6dkND4Qe8lAwgCLF9JxVwgxDkcwxbW_Zo/w542-h640/IMG_1804.HEIC" width="542" /></a></div><br /><p>Have a great day!</p><p><br /></p><p><b>SUPPLIES:</b></p><p style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-size: 13px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px;"><i><b>Stamps</b>: Hello Lovely (Concord & 9th)</i></p><p style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-size: 13px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 15px;"><i><span style="font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;"><b>Paper</b>: </span><span style="font-size: 14px;">White, Summer Sunrise (pti)</span></i></p><p style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-size: 13px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 15px;"><i><b>Ink</b>: Black, Harvest Gold, Summer Sunrise, Orange Zest, Melon Berry, Spring Moss, Olive Twist</i></p><p style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-size: 13px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 15px;"><i><b>Dies</b>: Stacked Decorative Edges - Small dies of the month May 2020 (Spellbinders)</i></p><p style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-size: 13px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 15px;"><br /></p><p style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-size: 13px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 15px;"><br /></p>Debbiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04283687735665400537noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4971755041804785365.post-67012759759693177462020-09-28T13:55:00.000-07:002020-09-28T13:55:59.909-07:00Quick Birthday Card<p> I needed a fast birthday card so I cased<a href="https://www.frauvoegeli.ch/2020/07/big-birthday-wishes.html" target="_blank"> this cute card</a> for my brother's birthday. I didn't have the cupcake stamp set so I used <span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-size: 13px;">Birthdays Take the Cake</span><span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-size: 13px;"> instead.</span></p><p><br /><span style="font-family: inherit;">I die cut the words from each of the colored papers and also one time from white. I backed the colored letters in white for a tiny bit of elevation and then used the negative space in the white sheet to place the words on the pattern paper. I colored the cake with the alcohol markers.</span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgNVVs0Lq2qBMWrccyv63Cqo35QRZnjC6X-3f21vH8drMrWROCtdYa7QddtYJ4NdrvB4gL_IXM8JhGjXGVJ_gqacE1LOakrr_p725gOW7yzxJ12SyzyXVhkguRYZ5_ygqEd00v8xoKLO60/s2048/IMG_8873.HEIC" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1870" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgNVVs0Lq2qBMWrccyv63Cqo35QRZnjC6X-3f21vH8drMrWROCtdYa7QddtYJ4NdrvB4gL_IXM8JhGjXGVJ_gqacE1LOakrr_p725gOW7yzxJ12SyzyXVhkguRYZ5_ygqEd00v8xoKLO60/w584-h640/IMG_8873.HEIC" width="584" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div>You can see the shine in the gold letters better in this photo.<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjjxS0RSdNrg_3hkI1wjGDQCdqxzES4Y8dXx8RHtUV_u0_bGVp21-3BexeNBcyPjAkvvpDnfNeH1rnwgbM-pLFV153WhljSLNqE4BhD2ksr-z6JC3AvTyA_0rT0dGdiulO4D5aNIYZM9jk/s2048/IMG_8351.HEIC" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjjxS0RSdNrg_3hkI1wjGDQCdqxzES4Y8dXx8RHtUV_u0_bGVp21-3BexeNBcyPjAkvvpDnfNeH1rnwgbM-pLFV153WhljSLNqE4BhD2ksr-z6JC3AvTyA_0rT0dGdiulO4D5aNIYZM9jk/w480-h640/IMG_8351.HEIC" width="480" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">This card came together really quickly since the sentiment is all one die. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbxpGk2pSu4g_xdUChLNwc8mqvLRgjDODFHcZUSUM0XsSMQi9Qe58_N4K6oEy1w4frR0j3STXkqU9FmfW5gLAE9knIGtaCEashAEcM6tE_TUJgmdpylhnnqP6CUS3PtpI6cRGvtlCnezg/s2048/IMG_0797.HEIC" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1915" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbxpGk2pSu4g_xdUChLNwc8mqvLRgjDODFHcZUSUM0XsSMQi9Qe58_N4K6oEy1w4frR0j3STXkqU9FmfW5gLAE9knIGtaCEashAEcM6tE_TUJgmdpylhnnqP6CUS3PtpI6cRGvtlCnezg/w598-h640/IMG_0797.HEIC" width="598" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">SUPPLIES:</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><p style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-size: 13px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px;"><b><br /></b></p><p style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-size: 13px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px;"><b>Stamps</b>: Birthdays Take the Cake (mft)</p>

I die cut the cake and then tapped Versamark all over. Then I sprinkled Fossilized Amber glaze all over and heat set it. So the cake is really shiny but you can't see that in the picture.</p><p>I ink blended some Antique Linen distress oxide ink all around the perimeter of the circle and the cake is popped up on foam tape. I used 2 colors of yellow Zig markers to color the flame on the candle.</p><p><br /></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgvdPpLy33O8knGUtk3BOyx97413AGYeLp5y4BSq-E75wpzyW-b-Pqc3pAS0LO9lQ_Lbo_DoiFdK0Pa3hnW8UqdxanBfSuePsG9f-qOJFRPFJDkTc_XuVLAlUU_j0z6UvtqHKAJT5AEoxg/s2048/IMG_5164.HEIC" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1614" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgvdPpLy33O8knGUtk3BOyx97413AGYeLp5y4BSq-E75wpzyW-b-Pqc3pAS0LO9lQ_Lbo_DoiFdK0Pa3hnW8UqdxanBfSuePsG9f-qOJFRPFJDkTc_XuVLAlUU_j0z6UvtqHKAJT5AEoxg/w504-h640/IMG_5164.HEIC" width="504" /></a></div><p>Thanks for stopping by to look at my card :-)</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div>SUPPLIES:<p></p><p style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-size: 13px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px;"><i><b>Stamps</b>: Birthday Greetings (mft)</i></p><p style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-size: 13px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 15px;"><i><span style="font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;"><b>Paper</b>: </span><span style="font-size: 14px;">White, pink (pti), Petite Gingham paper pad, Positively Preppy paper pad (mft)</span></i></p><p style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-size: 13px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 15px;"><i><span style="font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;"><b>Ink</b>: </span><span style="font-size: 14px;">Black, Antique Linen Distress Oxide, Veramark</span></i></p><p style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-size: 13px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 15px;"><i><b>Dies</b>: Piece of Cake die-namics, Inside & Out Stitched Circles (mft); Scallop Stackers: Large (pti)</i></p><p style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-size: 13px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 15px;"><i><b>Other</b>: Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide Glaze (Tim Holtz), Blending brush, foam tape, Zig markers</i></p><p>

It's been eons since I have posted anything. It's been a crazy year but I guess you all know that plus my daughter moved states for a new job and I helped her with that.</p><p>Here is a card that I made for my brother & sister-in-law's anniversary.</p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjIFjVX5YjfTiVGazcG38d__4Ii8ZxdxtMHUmW3g6ZNYkBZJIUAQjQlAjB-Db5D5Y801qFOxdI-jWPWpAMV56u8QbYAUl-a5Gsk02_-b4rIJzJ2sgLFQ2WWHpl3szSKVjVTlhymnfZjmGg/s2048/IMG_0737.HEIC" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1748" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjIFjVX5YjfTiVGazcG38d__4Ii8ZxdxtMHUmW3g6ZNYkBZJIUAQjQlAjB-Db5D5Y801qFOxdI-jWPWpAMV56u8QbYAUl-a5Gsk02_-b4rIJzJ2sgLFQ2WWHpl3szSKVjVTlhymnfZjmGg/w546-h640/IMG_0737.HEIC" width="546" /></a></div><br /><p>I ink blended the background and then spritzed with water. I cut that panel down to <span style="color: #313131; font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 14px;">3-1/4″ x 4-1/2″ and then taped it directly to the card base. </span> For the sentiment I pieced together two sentiment stamps which I really hate doing. I never get them lined up properly. I popped up the cacti on foam tape and then added the clear Nuvo drops. I like how the color shows through after they are dry. I definitely need to practice on those drops though. Some are pretty lopsided.</p><p>Hopefully it won't be another 9 months before my next card :-) Thanks for looking!!</p><p><b>Supplies</b>:</p><p style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-size: 13px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px;"><i><b>Stamps</b>: A Second Helping of Sunshine (pti)</i></p><p style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-size: 13px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 15px;"><i><span style="font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;"><b>Paper</b>: </span><span style="font-size: 14px;">White, Tropical Teal, New Leaf, Green Parakeet, Hibiscus Burst, Raspberry Fizz, Canyon Clay (pti)</span></i></p><p style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-size: 13px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 15px;"><i><span style="font-size: 14px;"><b>Dies</b>: To The Point (Concord & 9th)</span></i></p><p style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-size: 13px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 15px;"><i><span style="font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;"><b>Ink</b>: Versafine Onyx </span><span style="font-size: 14px;">Black; Distress Oxides (Wilted Violet, Picked Raspberry, Carved Pumpkin)</span></i></p><p style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-size: 14px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 16px;"><i><b>Other</b>: Morning Dew (Nuvo Crystal Drops); black marker to do the exclamation point, foam tape, blending brushes</i></p><p><br /></p>Debbiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04283687735665400537noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4971755041804785365.post-39622857191788248722020-01-29T14:08:00.001-08:002020-01-29T14:08:50.435-08:00Happy Anniversary<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="text-align: start;">Some friends at church are celebrating their anniversary on 2/2. I guess that would be an easy date to remember :-) I made them this card.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhOhXs-k7bvXkSYFlOPM1Drmt5pw5ZRmpYRu4Yo5i2SkQDFeYbSFqf-aq46jNiC1Kdy3XkBZCrXNU82mm7mRSKdFhg54sIlB2X1lsb6HI0S9ZWQaTl0kOKo5FN_LdW3mQ106IEtJ8sPjRI/s1600/IMG_2317.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1396" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhOhXs-k7bvXkSYFlOPM1Drmt5pw5ZRmpYRu4Yo5i2SkQDFeYbSFqf-aq46jNiC1Kdy3XkBZCrXNU82mm7mRSKdFhg54sIlB2X1lsb6HI0S9ZWQaTl0kOKo5FN_LdW3mQ106IEtJ8sPjRI/s640/IMG_2317.jpg" width="558" /></a></div>
<br />
I have been playing with different Concord & 9th turnabout sets. This is their wreath turnabout and it can give so many looks. Since their anniversary is close to Valentine's Day I went with the pink colors.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgDj-zAfoV4-_CjYswN9VXVkKOzFcFT_sP4rdhMNdkh4zpvTR_mOxiLVCu8azgTAskGKn-N_P3BZ28F-T1_xa5d2VKbL_sg3e1jsf5eNuAlQ9hVSRy7UFBDodtilEczBU2abQvVxz2AusQ/s1600/IMG_2319.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1481" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgDj-zAfoV4-_CjYswN9VXVkKOzFcFT_sP4rdhMNdkh4zpvTR_mOxiLVCu8azgTAskGKn-N_P3BZ28F-T1_xa5d2VKbL_sg3e1jsf5eNuAlQ9hVSRy7UFBDodtilEczBU2abQvVxz2AusQ/s640/IMG_2319.jpg" width="592" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I added a strip of vellum in the middle to soften the look and hold the sentiment. I looked at both plain vellum and the polka dot vellum and ended up picking the polka dot. It just seemed to add something extra. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I used my Glimmer machine for the sentiment. I just can't get enough of glimmering :-) I also added some pretty pink metallic paper at both the top and the bottom. I thought it would go with the the sentiment.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I have new goodies to play with and Glimmer hot plates are some of them. My aunt is turning 92 on Feb 1st and this card will go to her. I used a card from the <a href="https://spellbindersblog.com/2019/10/08/october-2019-glimmer-plates-inspiration-autumn-card-trio-with-niki/">Spellbinders blog</a> as a guide for my card.<br />

It's hard to catch the pretty shimmer with a camera but I hope that you can see it in the next couple of photos.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I thought it would be pretty to use linen paper but it turns out it is hard to foil on linen. I had to rerun it through several time but fortunately I had taped the hot plate down so that I could do it over. Lesson learned... don't use linen paper for foiling.</div>

I have a few new goodies and some time to stamp. My brother's anniversary is coming up. I wanted a card not too flowery and thought this worked pretty well.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHdzlBCZuJWVeyjC8dib0kGWaQR7rZIGrBHeOgmoqPPBj9GYdAuGAFYKwhvp866NAV-txYm0zEpY-hb-Rkn4MHk9oem_gitcm0NsQbxClHvM78K-9b87nRawxUu5-xoZaPzyWW4FycNww/s1600/IMG_1752.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1300" data-original-width="1600" height="518" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHdzlBCZuJWVeyjC8dib0kGWaQR7rZIGrBHeOgmoqPPBj9GYdAuGAFYKwhvp866NAV-txYm0zEpY-hb-Rkn4MHk9oem_gitcm0NsQbxClHvM78K-9b87nRawxUu5-xoZaPzyWW4FycNww/s640/IMG_1752.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
I love plaid and I just got a stamp by Concord & 9th called Sketched Stripes Background. I stamped the stripes once in each direction in Weathervane and then again in Tattered Rose DOX.<br />
<br />
I played with various combos of ink for the sentiment and ended up with Smokey Shadow, Melon Berry and Weathervane. It gets your attention and the shading is not too in your face.<br />
<br />
I like the shape of the Elegant Rectangle Stax dies but really had hoped that there would be less space between the dies. I guess next time I will trim down the outer layer.<br />
<br />
At this point something was missing and I played for a long time before realizing that a simple polka dot strip would do the trick.<br />
<br />
I think this would be great for a masculine card for any occasion. My SIL's birthday is coming up soon so I will give her a more feminine card then :-)<br />
<br />
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my card!<br />

I don't have the dies so I watched several videos and proceeded to wing it. It took me a really long time but I finally got it to work. I think the wiper surprise dies will be in my future. I am entering this card in the <a href="https://www.mftstamps.com/blogs/news/birthday-challenge-june-2019" target="_blank">My Favorite Things Peek-a-Boo Surprise Challenge</a>. The sentiment will go on the back of the card but I forgot to stamp that before taking my pictures.<br />
<br />
Here is the unopened card.<br />
<br />

<br />
The surprise is when you pull the sides of the card and a pterodactyl pops up.<br />
