Papertrey April Blog Hop Challenge

Today is Papertrey's monthly blog hop.  Below is the inspiration photo.

For my card I decided to go with an ombre affect rather than circles.

I used Pure Poppy, Berry Sorbet, Melon Berry and Sweet Blush with one of the Modern Background Stencils. I layered Splits: Celebrate over the top of this. That's it. CAS!

Papertrey Ink March Blog Hop

Today is Papertrey's monthly blog hop. It's also my birthday and I wanted to have some fun in my craft room.  So I made a birthday card for this month's Papertrey Blog Hop :-)  Here are some of the inspiration photos.

        

Embroidered Blooms seemed like an obvious choice of sets to use - I suppose everyone else thinks so too :-)

There is Glossy Accents on the flower centers. I never seem to learn my lesson about being patient and waiting for it to dry. I always manage to put my hand in it so there is a smudge spot but I'm not going to tell you where.

Papertrey September Blog Hop Challenge

Hi! Today is Papertrey's Blog Hop. The inspiration photo is below.

I picked up on the theme of the autumn leaves for my card.

I stamped the sentiment on Kraft cardstock and then ran it through my Big Shot with the Linen Impression plate.

I watercolored orange, yellow, red and green onto watercolor paper and then die cut the leaves. I stamped the leaf veins in Classic Kraft and then spritzed with Heidi Swapp Gold Color Shine.  You can see the sparkly shine in the photo above.

I attached the leaves with a single Glue Dot so that they would keep the slight curl and loose look. Next came the twine and a few sequins to finish it off.

I think this card will go to my SIL whose birthday is coming up in October. Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have fun at the hop!

Papertrey June Blog Hop

Today is Papertrey's Blog Hop and I've been looking forward to it but too busy the last few weeks to pre-make a card.  Now my husband and I are at my daughter's helping her get ready to move in August. When I left my house I rapidly threw some stamps, ink and dies in a bag thinking I would borrow other stuff from my daughter.  So I planned out my card and went in search of her Cuttlebug. OK, found it in the box. Opened it up and there is no C plate.  Where is her C plate? How can I cut without a C plate?  She is an hour and a half away teaching at a music camp so I can't ask her. I tried to improvise but no go. Rats! I'm reduced to scissors! Arghh!!  So here is a pic of my simplified card, no fussy cutting for me,  taken with my phone.

I stamped the flower and then traced a tag die around it with a pencil. The flowers look red but they are really an orange color.  Then using my trusty scissors I cut out the tag. I punched a hole and added some twine. This little tag is popped up on dimensionals with the sentiment stamped below.

So it's clean and simple and I hope that you like it :-)

Papertrey Ink May Blog Hop

I'm visiting my daughter in Georgia and we (well maybe just me) had time to stamp today between baby naps and feeding.  I made this card for the May Papertrey Ink Blog Hop which is to create a card using flower images and a choice of color combos. Here is the combo that I chose.

I ended up using only 3 of the colors on my card and I got to use my new Ruby Rose set :-)
