Get Well Flowers in a Jar

Today I have a get well card.

I've seen others stamp the pint jar on acetate and I really wanted to do that but no matter what I tried it did not stamp crisp and it never really dried.  So I die cut the jar from white cardstock and stamped it in black. I then stamped the flower stems and amazingly they lined up pretty well with the stamping on the card.  Next I watercolored a little Aqua Mist to look like water but the SU Whisper White paper did not take the water well and swelled up immediately.  So then I thought I would die cut the jar once again from acetate and just place that over the top of the white cardstock jar. I'm pretty happy with that solution. You can see how it reflects in the pic below.

Lastly I stamped the sentiment and added some Rainstones.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day!

Stamps: Larger Than Life, Just the Jar: Pint, Graceful Greetings II (PTI)
Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black (SU)
Ink: New Leaf, Limeade Ice or Simply Chartreuse (can't remember which), Aqua Mist, Summer Sunrise, Canyon Clay (PTI)
Other: Pint Jar die, Rainstones (PTI), dimensional foam tape under jar, acetate (from small PTI stamp set), Thermoweb Memory Tape Runner XL (to attach acetate)

Bitty Bouquets Card Set

Good Morning! A friend at church is raising money for Relay For Life and asked if I would contribute some cards.  I created a set of 4 cards using PTI's new Bitty Bouquet set. I have started to save the plastic cases that my PTI stamp sets come in. They work perfectly to hold 4 cards & 4 envelopes.

This first card uses Wisteria Wonder & Bashful Blue ink (SU) for the flowers and Limeade Ice (PTI) ink for the leaves. The sentiment  is Keep It Simple: Get Well (PTI).

Card #2:
Harvest Gold and New Leaf ink (PTI). The sentiment is Handwritten Borders (SSS).

Card #3:
Pure Poppy and Ripe Avocado (PTI); Bashful Blue (SU). Sentiment is Keep It Simple: Birthday (PTI).

Card #4:
Berry Sorbet & Simply Chartreuse (PTI). Sentiment is Keep It Simple: Thank You (PTI)

Hope you like my simple set of note cards. Thanks for stopping by!

FMS19

I have 2 cards today for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge FMS19.

The first card is pretty simple because I'm making it for a gentleman at my church. So no fancy ribbons, etc. I stamped the image in Old Olive and layered it on Old Olive. The sentiment is also stamped in Old Olive and punched out with the Modern Label punch. I used an Old Olive marker to go around the edges and then sponged the edges with Crumb Cake. This is popped up on dimensionals.  I punched 7 circles out of Crushed Curry (ret) using a 3/4" circle punch and then taped them down in a line on the Kraft card stock. Then I covered the bottom edges with the Crushed Curry dotted ribbon to get the scallop effect. I placed the image on dimensionals over the top of this and added 3 Old Olive brads. Pretty easy!

Stamps: Thoughts & Prayers, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper: Old Olive, Crushed Curry, Kraft, White
Ink: Old Olive, Crumb Cake
Accessories: 3/4" circle punch, Crushed Curry ribbon (ret), Modern Label punch, Old Olive brads, dimensionals

The second card has a bit more detail in it.  I used a Certainly Celery base for this card because I had a scrap of retired DSP on my table and it matched better than the Old Olive. Not sure what that DSP is because it's been DSP on top of that. Then I wrapped some twill I also had lying on my table around that. The final little touch is some Baker's twine around the knot.   The image is stamped in Celery on white and layered on a piece of Daffodil Delight Print DSP.  The sentiment is in Celery and punched out with the Word Window punch and then layered on another piece of that DSP punched with the Modern Label punch which is popped up on a dimensional.  This is all on a piece of white which is embossed with the dots EF.  Finally I added 3 rhinestones which I colored with a yellow Sharpie. Don't know if you can see that very well in the pic.  Thanks for stopping by!

Paper: Certainly Celery, Daffodil Delight, White, Daffodil Delight Print DSP, SU retired DSP,
Ink: Old Olive
Accessories: Word Window punch, Modern Label punch, rhinestones, twill, Baker's twine, dots EF, dimensionals, Sharpie to color rhinestones

Get Well

This card is for a friend who just had heart surgery.  I CASE'd it from a card by mamamostamps.

I used Crumb Cake and Real Red markers on the flowers.  The doily border is a Martha Stewart punch but the SU Eyelet border punch would be a good substitute as well. I sponged the doily edge with Crumb Cake and also sponged all around the outside edge of the card. The doily border is a separate little piece attached to the card with the top edge hidden by the ribbon which is Chocolate Chip 5/8" taffeta.  The little tags are punched out using the Jewelry Tag punch and attached with a pin from Vintage Trinkets.  Hope my friend likes this card :-)

All supplies are Stampin'Up unless otherwise noted:

Stamps: Nature Walk, Teeny Tiny Wishes, Fancy Flexible Phrases
Paper: Very Vanilla
Ink: Crumb Cake, Real Red
Accessories: Chocolate Chip taffeta ribbon, Jewelry Tag punch, Vintage Trinkets, Martha Stewart border punch, sponge
