I recently needed some sympathy cards. I made two slightly different versions. The top, white layer is popped up on dimensionals and with the light coming from behind you can see the dimensionals and it looks weird but in real life you can't see them. Very CAS!
Thanks for stopping by today!!

Happy 63rd Anniversary
I can't believe that it's been 2 months since my last post. Wow!
My mom & dad celebrated their 63rd anniversary yesterday. This is the card that I made for them. It's not a great pic as I had to take the picture quickly and then we headed out the door to dinner.
I first stamped the word "anniversary" so that I would know where to place the leaves which I did next. I die cut the word "happy" 4 times, glued them together and then glued them down on the card. The last addition was some Perler beads that I had previously melted in my oven. You can't really tell in the picture but the top layer is on dimensionals on the Chocolate Chip layer. That's it. Now that I look at the card I wish that I had added some ink speckles. Oh well. Next time.
Thanks for stopping by today. I'll try to get back into the swing of card making a bit more regularly :-)

Stamps: Leaf Prints, Wet Paint (PTI)
Paper: Chocolate Chip (SU), white (PTI)
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Cherry Cobbler, Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry

One More 4th of July Card
Here's my last 4th of July card. I couldn't reveal it until today because my girls follow my blog. :-)

Hope everyone eats lots of tasty food, enjoys the day and watches fireworks tonight. Safely of course :-)

Paper: White (PTI), Real Red and Midnight Muse (SU)

Happy 4th of July
Here are a couple cards that I made for the 4th. Hope everyone enjoys the day!
• I used the PTI Cover Plate: Stripes to die cut the red. You can see the stripes that were die cut out in the top card and the full panel overlaid on white card stock in the bottom card.
• In the top card card I used SSS Falling Stars stencil and spackling paste from the hardware store to make the stars. In the bottom card I stamped the stars in Versamark and embossed with white embossing powder.
• I stamped the sentiment onto the double ended flag and popped it up on dimensionals. The tag is also on dimensionals.
Top card:
Stamps: Label Love (Altenew)
Paper: White (PTI), Real Red and Midnight Muse (SU)
Ink: Real Red (SU)

Hubbies Father's Day Card
Here is the card that I made for my husband. I case'd this card cuz I just really liked the look. I did change the upper right corner. I punch Tag Sale #5 out of white card stock and then stamped the sentiment near the bottom. I did some paper piercing and tied on Baker's twine. Then I cut off the top of the tag and attached it with dimensionals to the card. The stamped panel was run through my Big Shot with the Linen & Canvas impression plate after stamping of course :-)
Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there!!

Stuck on Circle Scribbles
I admit it. I love Circle Scribbles. Now it's even more fun with the die cuts. I made these cards last week but I didn't get the pictures taken until today.
The second card started out as a case of this card. I move the sentiment down and again used Label Love but this time I cut it out and popped it up with dimensionals. Hmm, for this card I used a different color for the largest circle but it escapes me at this moment :-)
Thanks for stopping by on this rainy NW day!
p.s. I should also have mentioned that I ran the white card stock through my Big Shot with the Linen & Canvas impression plate by PTI.
On the first card I used Maile Belles' technique of cutting the card and inserting a panel underneath in Bermuda Bay. I cut the scribbles from Pool Party, Smokey Shadow and white card stock. The sentiment is also in Bermuda Bay and is from a set by Altenew called Label Love. I adde sequins (Avery Elle) and enamel dots (MME) to finish the card.

The Challenge #7
I got my new PTI order yesterday and had to start playing. I found this sketch challenge and thought it would be a good one to use.
I can't seem to get away from the Circle Scribbles and I thought they would go well with the new Splat set. After all the stamping I used my spritzer to add a bit of color to the background. Then a few sequins and an enamel dot and I'm done.
Thanks for stopping by today!
SUPPLIES:
Stamps: Circle Scribbles, Splat, Keep It Simple: Birthday (PTI)

As I looked at the sketch again this morning I realized that I left off the left side strip. Oops! I'm still going to upload this but I'll have to try again later :-)

Scribbling a Thank You
I went looking for inspiration for a thank you card that I needed to make and found this week's Freshly Made Sketches and ColourQ challenges.
For the flower I inked up the back side of the Circle Scribble stamp in Pool Party and then spritzed it with water before stamping on Neenah Solar White. Then I stamped the scribble in Chocolate Chip and cut it out freehand. It is popped up on dimensionals. The turquoise plaid is wash tape. I stamped So Stripey in Chocolate Chip and freehand cut the flag. I originally stamped the sentiment directly on the card in Versamark and embossed with gold embossing powder but my powder was old and chunky, glittery and I really didn't like the look. So I restamped the sentiment in gold ink and turned it into a flag.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!!

Hello Scribbles
I finally got my Papertrey order. It was delayed along the way (late train was the explanation) but now it's here and I'll be making cards using my new stuff this week. When I saw Circle Scribbles by Papertrey I knew it was a set that I had to have. For this card I turned the circles into flowers. First I stamped the back of the stamp to create a background and then I stamped the scribbles. So much fun and so simple to create.
You can't see it well but I ran the base layer of the card through my Big Shot with the Rustic Burlap impression plate. It is pretty subtle.
This card is for 2 challenges this week. First is The Card Concept to use a floral theme. I'll call this the Clean & Simple style.
The second challenge is Color Throwdown 281.
I'll have another scribbly card tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by!

Stamps: Circle Scribbles, Mini Blooms (PTI)
Paper: White (PTI)

My Last Valentine
This is my last Valentine this year. I had to wait until after Valentine's Day to post this so my daughter wouldn't see it too soon. I really like these colors and am pretty happy how this turned out.
After punching out the large red heart I coated it with Versamark and then clear embossing powder to give it some shine.
Thanks for stopping by and Happy Valentine's Day everyone!!

GO SEAHAWKS!
Well it was unintentional but my subconscious must have been thinking Seahawks when I made this card. I am from the greater Seattle area and we are so excited that they are in the Super Bowl!! Well on to the card.
I watched a video this week by Jennifer McGuire and she used verdigris embossing powder on embossing paste. It reminded me that I bought some verdigris from Stampin'Up years ago. There is another video by Shari Carroll which I've been itching to try where she used acetate to raise words up off the card. So I thought I could combine several techniques and this week's CAS(E) This Sketch challenge for my card. Since I just took the Stenciled Online Card Class this fits right in with that too.
I tried to get a picture of the acetate so that you could see the layers but it was hard to get it to show up. I used the 2 way glue pen to adhere the sentiment to the acetate.
Here you can see the colors of the verdigris embossing powder. I sprinkled the powder on the spackling paste while it was still wet but waited for it to dry before heating it up with my heat tool.
Thanks for stopping by today! GO SEAHAWKS!!!
p.s. I just saw that OWH is doing a 3-day Card Bowl Challenge and today's challenge is to make a masculine card that reflects your choice of team to win. Well I think my card fits this so I'm entering it in the challenge.

Ink: none

Online Stenciled Class Day #3 and 2 Challenges
One of the challenges on day 3 of the Stenciled Online Card Class was to add color to embossing paste. I'm using light weight spackling paste and I added 1 drop of Regal Rose (SU) reinker to a blob of paste. It gave me a nice pale pink color. I spread that over the SSS Peppermint Stripes stencil. I cut my tag from some vellum that I had and ran it through my Big Shot using the Dots Cuttlebug folder. For my main image I stamped it once in Smokey Shadow ink and cut it out with a circle Nestability. I stamped it a second time in Regal Rose ink and cut out the heart by hand. I die cut a double ended flag in Regal Rose and embossed the sentiment in white. I put it all together with dimensionals between each layer.
This card is also for challenge #25 at CAS on Sunday to make a Valentine/Love card and the new Card Concept Challenge #2 to add texture on your card. I've used embossing paste in my Clean & Layered style card.
I'm having fun using my stencils in new ways. Thanks for stopping by today!

Online Stenciled Class Day #1 and Papertrey Ink January Blog Hop
Papertrey Ink is having their January Blog Hop today. The challenge is to use pink on your project and since I haven't made my Valentines yet today is the day.
I'm also taking the Online Card Class "Stenciled" and this is my card for day 1 of the class. I die cut the heart from the top white panel so that I would know where to sponge underneath. I used a blending tool to sponge Rose Red & Regal Rose inks on the SSS Peppermint Stripes stencil. I cut one heart from Rose Red & popped it up on dimensionals. The die cut ampersand is also on dimensionals. Lastly I embossed the sentiments to the side hearts using white embossing powder.
Well I'm off to do another project. Thanks for stopping by!
