Happy 3rd Birthday!

My grandson just celebrated his 3rd birthday. He loves construction so that was the theme of his party and I went with that on his card as well.

First, I stamped the road using two different stamps from Super Stripes.  The truck was all one stamp so I masked off the top part and stamped the wheels in black on the road. I stamped the orange truck on a separate piece of paper and fussy cut just the top portion. It's popped up on dimensionals. There are silver brads in the wheels.

I die cut the number 3 and slipped it under the truck.  I stamped the alphabet in yellow on adhesive backed paper and cut out the letters that I needed for the name Titus. I didn't want them in a straight line so they are just slightly off kilter and the sentiment is underneath.

And lastly a pic of the cake my daughter made for him. It was adorable with cone candles, real toy diggers and Oreo crumb "dirt".

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Titus is 11 Months

This card was for my cutie pie grandson Titus who is now 11 months old. ,

I tried to copy what I've seen others do by adding Glossy Accents over the number 11 to give it shine and dimension. Mostly it just looks blobby or maybe it's gloopy. Whatever it didn't turn out like I'd hoped.  I guess I need more practice on this technique :-)  After attaching everything I thought it didn't seem festive enough so I squeezed my ink pads together to get ink in the lids, I took a paint brush full of water and swished it around in the lid and then tapped the brush over my card to spritz on some color.  The little puffs of smoke behind the truck are really clouds and the dirt was made using the Itty Bitty Backgrounds set.

Happy 11 month birthday Titus!

I Dig Your Birthday

This card is for my dad's 82nd birthday.  I know this is a kid's set but he has a sense of humor.

The base of the card is Cherry Cobbler, then Garden Green and finally some of the wonderful Frostwood Lodge DSP.  The little bulldozer is stamped in black on white and then layered on black. I used markers to color the presents in Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green.  The image is popped up on dimensionals over Cherry Cobbler seam binding.
