More In Color Ikat

Here are a couple more cards that I made using the new SU 2013 In Colors and Irresistibly Ikat.

This first one has a Bermuda Bay card base. The chevrons are stamped with Coastal Cabana, Pistachio Pudding and Strawberry Slush. The sentiment is Versafine Onyx black. This whole panel is popped up on dimensionals.

The second card has a Soft Suede card base. The chevrons are stamped with Baked Brown Sugar, Crisp Cantaloupe and Calypso Coral. The sentiment is stamped in Soft Suede.

My daughter says that I'm using too many geometric shapes so maybe tomorrow I'll try to use flowers instead :-)

In Color Ikat

I'm really loving these new In Colors. I don't think my picture does the colors justice. In real life they are so soft and pretty!

I stamped the chevrons in the following order: Calypso Coral, new Smoky Shadow, Coastal Cabana, Crisp Cantaloupe, Smoky Shadow, Bermuda Bay and then ended with Calypso Coral.  I stamped the sentiment (wish it was a tad higher) and then tied some Baker's twine and a button around.  I ran a piece of Coastal Cabana through my Big Shot with the Linen Impression plate for some texture and then added the Ikat panel on dimensionals.  Thanks for looking and come back tomorrow for more cards with the new In Colors :-)

Ikat

I tried really hard to do both a color challenge and a sketch challenge today. However, I didn't end up with either one. Oh well. I like the card that I did end up with :-)

This is my first card using PTI's Irresistibly Ikat and I used the stamp that I thought I would be least likely to use. I guess you just never know till it's done.  I stamped the image in Calypso Coral and cut it out with an oval Nestability die. Then I ran it through the Big Shot using PTI's linen texture plate.  It is popped up on dimensionals over two fishtail flags cut from Calypso Coral and an old SU pattern pack that had some Crumb Cake in it. I stamped the sentiment, also from the Ikat set, and then I wanted to use my new enamel dots so added 3 of those. I definitely need more colors of those!  That's it. Thanks for looking!
