PTI On The Farm

Using more of my new PTI toys today - On The Farm.    I started off using the Cover Plate: Hexagon Die in the following Stampin'Up colors: Sahara Sand, Early Espresso, Close to Cocoa, So Saffron and Going Gray.  This was punched out of Sahara Sand and attached to a Sahara Sand card base. I got the color scheme from Design-Seeds.

Next I stamped a background stamp from On The Farm in So Saffron and attached it to a piece of Early Espresso.  I tied a piece of twine around the bottom of this panel, die cut the rooster out of Close to Cocoa and attached with a dimensional.  The sentiment is stamped in Early Espresso and the little chicks are stamped in Close to Cocoa.  This whole panel is popped up dimensionals.  This was a fun card to make!

Supplies:
Stamps: Happy Hexagons, On the Farm (both PTI)
Paper: Sahara Sand, Early Espresso, Close to Cocoa and Whisper White
Ink: Sahara Sand, Early Espresso, Close to Cocoa, So Saffron and Going Gray
Accessories: twine, dimensionals
Tools: Cover Plate Hexagon Die, On the Farm Die

Addendum:  WooHoo!  I was picked on SCS Weekly Favorites this week!

Perfectly Penned Birthday

This card is for my SIL's bday next week.  I got inspiration from this card by Stampercamper whose work I love.  I'm a bit grumpy about it though. I thought the black ink on the Happy Birthday was dry but apparently not because as you can see it is smeared. Grr!  Well aside from that I like how the card turned out :-)

I stamped the doily in Crumb Cake and then stamped the flowers in black.  The flower heads use both of the stamps in the set. The first stamp was full strength black and for the 2nd stamp I stamped off twice to get it lighter.  You can't really tell in the picture but there are dimensionals between the Kraft (yes I still have a supply of Kraft cardstock) layer and the black card base. It gives it a bit of depth in real life.

Stamps: Hello Doily, Perfectly Penned
Paper: Black, Kraft (aka Crumb Cake), White
Ink: Black, Crumb Cake
Accessories: Mat pack & paper piercer, 1/4" black grosgrain ribbon, dimensionals
