FMS19

I have 2 cards today for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge FMS19.

The first card is pretty simple because I'm making it for a gentleman at my church. So no fancy ribbons, etc. I stamped the image in Old Olive and layered it on Old Olive. The sentiment is also stamped in Old Olive and punched out with the Modern Label punch. I used an Old Olive marker to go around the edges and then sponged the edges with Crumb Cake. This is popped up on dimensionals.  I punched 7 circles out of Crushed Curry (ret) using a 3/4" circle punch and then taped them down in a line on the Kraft card stock. Then I covered the bottom edges with the Crushed Curry dotted ribbon to get the scallop effect. I placed the image on dimensionals over the top of this and added 3 Old Olive brads. Pretty easy!

Stamps: Thoughts & Prayers, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper: Old Olive, Crushed Curry, Kraft, White
Ink: Old Olive, Crumb Cake
Accessories: 3/4" circle punch, Crushed Curry ribbon (ret), Modern Label punch, Old Olive brads, dimensionals

The second card has a bit more detail in it.  I used a Certainly Celery base for this card because I had a scrap of retired DSP on my table and it matched better than the Old Olive. Not sure what that DSP is because it's been DSP on top of that. Then I wrapped some twill I also had lying on my table around that. The final little touch is some Baker's twine around the knot.   The image is stamped in Celery on white and layered on a piece of Daffodil Delight Print DSP.  The sentiment is in Celery and punched out with the Word Window punch and then layered on another piece of that DSP punched with the Modern Label punch which is popped up on a dimensional.  This is all on a piece of white which is embossed with the dots EF.  Finally I added 3 rhinestones which I colored with a yellow Sharpie. Don't know if you can see that very well in the pic.  Thanks for stopping by!

Valentines

I have 2 Valentine cards today.  My daughter gave me some paper doilies for Christmas so when I saw this card on SCS I knew that I wanted to case it.

The base of the card is Kraft (now known as Crumb Cake). The two hearts were punched with the Full Heart punch - one from Blushing Bride and the other from Baja Breeze textured card stock. I sponged Blushing Bride around the edge of the one heart.  The small flower is punched from BB with the Itty Bitty Punch Pack and has a pearl in the center.  It was attached with a glue dot. A string of pearls was also attached on the Blushing Bride heart.  The sentiment was stamped in Baja Breeze on Shimmery White paper and a pearl was attached at the end then 2 little snips were made to flag the end. This was taped under the Baja heart. Baja Breeze seam binding was tied around the card and then the hearts were attached with dimensionals. That's pretty much it.

Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper: Kraft (Crumb Cake), Blushing Bride, Baja breeze textured, Shimmery White
Ink: Baja Breeze
Accessories: paper doily, Baja Breeze seam binding, pearls
Tools: Full Heart punch, Itty Bitty Punch Pack, dimensionals, sponge

The second card is also a case. Here's the original.

It's a very clean and simple white on white card.  The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes and is stamped in Real Red. The large heart was punched with the Full Heart punch from Newsprint DSP (now retired) and then I inked around the edge with black. The small heart was punched with the Heart to Heart punch from Real Red. Attached to the small red heart are a rhinestone and a small bow tied with linen thread. I used the fork technique to tie the bow. If you haven't seen this technique it's pretty cool.  You can check it out here. I used the Itty Bitty Backgrounds stamp (I'm sorry to say is retired) to splotch the background and then attached the hearts with dimensionals.  Thanks for stopping by!

All supplies are Stampin'Up:
Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes, Itty Bitty Backgrounds
Paper: White, Real Red, Newsprint DSP (ret)
Ink: Real Red
Accessories: rhinestone, linen twine
Tools: Full Heart punch, Heart to Heart punch, dimensionals

Victorian Get Well

One final card for tonight.  This card was case'd from cindybstampin at SCS.

The base of the card is Very Vanilla. Next comes Early Espresso then a layer of Everyday Enchantment DSP. Can't get enough of it!  I stamped Apothecary Art on Early Espresso. I think it looks better IRL than the pic but I did have a hard time getting it to stamp well.  I went over the leaves with a Lucky Limeade marker, the flowers with a white gel pen and the flower centers with an Early Espresso marker.  I die cut it with the Labels Collection Framelits but I wanted a narrower border so I used scissors to cut off the border. Behind that is a mat of Poppy Parade. I stamped the Apothecary Art again on Vanilla and then cut out just the center portion where I stamped the "get well wishes" in Poppy Parade and put a pearl on either side. This is popped up on dimensionals.  I tied some Poppy Parade ribbon around it & added a piece of Victoria lace for a final touch.

All Supplies are by Stampin'Up:
Stamps: Apothecary Art, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper: Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, Poppy Parade, Everyday Enchantment DSP
Ink: Poppy Parade, Early Espresso, Lucky Limeade & Early Espresso markers
Accessories: Poppy Parade ribbon, Victoria lace, pearls, Labels Collection Framelits, pearls, white gel pen, dimensionals

Bella's Bloom Get Well

More playing with new toys and an old set that I haven't used much.  I fiddled with this one a lot and it did not end up like I had intended but I do like the results.  I used the Labels Collection Framelits (Occasions Mini) on 4 different areas of this card. That includes the sentiment. Did you spot it?  I used Poppy Parade and Lucky Limeade markers on the flower.  The center brad is from the Everyday Enchantment ribbon and brad pack which will be available as an SAB item next week.  The flower from Bella's Bloom is layered on Early Espresso and popped up on dimensionals. The bottom DSP layer and largest Framelit layer, also on dimensionals, is Everyday Enchantment and is really beautiful paper. I love it! Thanks for stopping by!

All supplies are by Stampion'Up:

Stamps: Bella's Bloom, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper: Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, Everyday Enchantment DSP
Ink: Poppy parade, Lucky Limeade
Accessories: Labels Collection Framelits, Brad from Everyday Enchantment ribbon & brad pack (SAB), neutrals brads, Early Espresso grosgrain ribbon, dimensionals

Sparkly Valentine

Time to get started on valentines cards.  This one is really simple.  I started out by punching a heart out of red glimmer paper. I then took a piece of white and embossed it with the new Adorning Accents embossing folder available in the Occasions mini catalog.  I started wrapping the Baker's twine around the bottom of the white layer beneath the heart but really thought it looked better right over the top of the heart and the embossing. The sentiment was stamped in Real Red below. The heart is popped up on dimensionals and this was layered on red. Like I said. Very simple but that's the way I like it.

Supplies all Stampin'Up:
Stamps: Holidays & Wishes
Paper: Basic Black, Whisper White, Red Glimmer paper
Ink: Real Red
Accessories: Heart punch, Adorning Accents EF, Baker's twine, dimensionals

Edited: Chosen as an SCS CAS favorite!

Playing With New Stuff & FMS18

Christmas is over, the holiday decorations are put away and I finally have some time to play with fun, new stamping stuff. This first card is for this week's Freshly Made Sketches 18.

The base of the card is Soft Suede followed by a layer of the new Everyday Enchantment DSP. This will be available later this month as an SAB selection. It's wonderful!   I used Lucky Limeade and Poppy Parade markers to ink up the flower and then punched it out using the Lacey Ovals Nestability.  This is layered on Poppy Parade.  The bottom Vanilla piece was edged with the new Adorning Accents Edgelit from the new Occasions Mini. A strip of Soft Suede was place behind and a piece of Lucky Limeade organdy was added on top. This will also be available in the SAB catalog. The final touch was the Brights button with a piece of linen thread.
After I glued everything down I realized that I should have embossed above the scalloped edge with the new Adorning Accents embossing folder. I guess that will be for next time.

Supplies Used:
Stamp set: Love & Sympathy
Paper: Soft Suede, Poppy Parade, Very Vanilla, Everyday Enchantment DSP
Ink: Poppy Parade & Lucky Limeade markers
Accessories: Brights button, linen thread, Lucky Limeade Everyday Enchantment organdy ribbon
Tools: Adorning Accents Edgelits, Lacey Ovals Nestability, glue dots

This second card is inspired by this card by Sarah Wills. Again the base is Soft Suede. The next layer is Vanilla embossed with the Framed Tulips EF.  I stamped the new Occasions Mini Apothecary Art stamp set in Soft Suede and used Pool Party & Peach Parfait markers to color in the flowers. I'm not a big Peach Parfait fan but I think it works pretty well for the flower centers. Then I die cut the image and another piece of Soft Suede using the new Labels Collection Framelits.  The SS piece is embossed but sorry I don't remember which EF I grabbed.  I used Teeny Tiny Wishes for the sentiment and cut it out with the Modern Label punch. It is popped up on dimensionals.  I was really excited about the rhinestones. I asked for and received a 24-pack of Sharpie markers for Christmas. With these I colored the clear rhinestone a color that I think matches Pool Party pretty well.  I was having so much fun I got a little bloop of color on the vanilla paper. Oops!  I'll be having some fun with this technique in the future :-)  Hope you like these cards. It was fun playing. Thanks for stopping by.
