Bright Blossoms

I got the new Bright Blossoms stamp set & Summer Smooches DSP yesterday so had to play today.  The layout for this card is from Freshly Made Sketches #32.

The base of the card is Rich Razzleberry layered with a piece of the new Summer Smooches DSP. I punched a Lacey Circle from Island Indigo and layered that with a circle of textured white. This is popped up on dimensionals.  I used markers to color in the vase with Rich Razzleberry, the leaves with Lucky Limeade and the flowers with Tangerine Tango and then popped this up on dimensionals as wll.  The button has a piece of Baker's twine knotted in it.  Lastly there are 3 small white brads. Thanks for stopping by.

The inside of the card has a 1/2" strip of the DSP.

Supplies are by Stampin'Up unless noted:

Paper: Rich Razzleberry, Island Indigo, textured white, Summer Smooches DSP
Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Lucky Limeade & Tangerine Tango markers

3rd Anniversary

This card is for my daughter & SIL's 3rd anniversary.  I realized when finished that there is no stamping on the outside of this card but it does say Happy Anniversary on the inside.  Instead I used my new Timeless Type Alphabet Junior Sizzlets by Stampin'Up that I just got for my birthday last month to punch out the 3 from textured Pool Party card stock. This is layered on a Soft Suede circle which is popped up on a dimensional.  Also new (again for my birthday) is the Nestability Lacey Circle punched out of textured Daffodil Delight and layered on another Soft Suede circle. This too is popped up on a dimensional.  I then cut 4 squares from Attic Boutique DSP and placed those on a large square of Soft Suede. Below that is another piece of Attic Boutique with a lower border made with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon border punch and the upper border cut from the textured Daffodil Delight. Lastly a piece of Pool Party seam binding was tied around it all. Thanks for stopping by!

New Baby Boy

Today I made a baby card for a family at church - a boy. It's a case from this card on SCS which is apparently a case of a card by Wendy Janson. Cute ideas just keep going on and on!

The base is Ballet Blue which is a SU retired color. The next 3 layers are white (4 x 4-1/4"), Ballet Blue (3-3/4 x 4"), and white again (3-5/8 x 3-7/8"). The 3 colored strips (1-1/8 x 3-3/8") are Bashful Blue, Ballet Blue and Night of Navy. I ran these through my Cuttlebug using the dots folder. 5/8" Ballet Blue grosgrain ribbon is tied around this whole thing.  I stamped the baby booties from the Baby Bundle stamp set and punched it out with a 1" circle punch popped it up on a larger circle of Ballet Blue. This is on a white scalloped circle which is pierced on each scallop with my paper piercer. Now that I have the dimensions I think this will be a pretty quick card to replicate in different colors for different occasions.  - p.s. I forgot to mention that I rounded the corners on the right side with a corner rounder punch :-)

To You From Me

I think most of this card is pretty self explanatory. The flower was watercolored and then popped up with dimensionals. The sentiment is taped to the flower panel but has a dimensional under the lower right corner.  The buttons are adhered with glue dots.

All Supplies Stampin'Up:
Stamps: Because I Care, Best Yet
Paper: Tempting Turquoise, Black, White, Tempting Turquoise Prints DSP
Ink: Black, Tempting Turquoise, Old Olive
Accessories: Brights buttons, White Baker's Twine, 1/4" Black grosgrain ribbon, dimensionals,
Tools:  circle punches, aquapainter

This second card is very simple. I made several of these as thank you cards for flowers sent to my MIL's memorial service. The stamp is "A Big Thank You" by PTI and it's all one stamp so was super simple. The sentiment panel is popped up on dimensionals to give it a bit more interest.

Playing Around

Here are a couple cards that I made this week.

The first card took me forever. I was CASEing this card but just kept twiddling until I finally had something that I sort of liked.  The base of the card is Poppy Parade followed by Pool Party, Everyday Enchantment DSP and then Kraft. I punched out the flower with the Blossom Punch. The center of the flower is from the Mixed Bunch set and stamped in Pool Party with an antique brad in the center and then backed with Soft Suede. This is popped up on a dimensional. Below it is a flower punched with the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer punch in Poppy Parade with an Everyday Enchantment brad. The smallest flower is punched with Boho Blossoms punch (Soft Suede) and Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack (Pool Party) with a mini gold brad.  Pool Party seam binding is tied around and the sentiment is stamped with Favorite Greetings (retired). Lastly I pierced around the edge of the Pool Party layer.

Stamps: Favorite Greetings (ret)
Paper: Pool Party, Poppy Parade, Kraft, Soft Suede, Everyday Enchantment DSP
Ink: Soft Suede
Accessories: Pool Party seam binding, brads
Tools: Blossom punch, Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer punch, Boho Blossoms punch, Itty Bitty Punch Pack, dimensionals, mat pack & paper piercer

The next card uses Rich Razzleberry card stock which is something that I don't use a lot but thought my parents would like as this will be their Easter card.  The hydrangea is stamped in black and colored with markers in Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive. The black & white striped ribbon is layered on white textured card stock (hard to see in the pic). I edged this with the Scallop Trim Border punch and then tied some white taffeta ribbon over the whole thing. The three buttons are tied with white Baker's Twine and attached with glue dots. The sentiment is from Cute Converse.  Hopefully I remembered all the details. Inside is stamped "Happy Easter".

Stamps: Because I Care, Cute Converse (ret)
Paper: Rich Razzleberry, Basic Black, White (regular & textured)
Ink: Rich Razzleberry & Old Olive markers, Basic Black
Accessories: 3/8" white taffeta ribbon, 1-1/4" Basic Black striped grosgrain ribbon, Brights buttons, Baker's twine
Tools: Circle punches, Scallop Trim Border punch, dimensionals
